Trump Rally Prescott - PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - Thousands filled an arena in northern Arizona Friday for a rally, including former President Donald Trump and his allies. The political event kicked off around 4:30pm with several Arizona names at the MAGA GOP, including Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelly Ward and Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb. Save America PAC held a rally at the Findlay Toyota Center. Trump took the stage around 8 p.m., nearly an hour after he was scheduled to speak. He talked about his candidates, Curry Lake for governor, Blake Masters for Senate, Secretary of State candidate Mark Fincham and others.
After harshly criticizing the Biden administration over inflation and the border, Trump took aim at Gov. Doug Ducey. "He just talks and nothing, and you see what can happen when Curry Lake becomes your governor. It's like night and day," Trump said. The crowd then started chanting, "Curry! Curry! Curry!" Lake eventually joined Trump on stage, greeting him with a hug. "He's going to do everything he can to protect the people of Arizona, and he's the only person strong enough to do that," Trump said.

Lake then took the microphone and praised Trump for the way he is running the campaign and policy. "President Trump taught us how to fight back and I took some notes. That's why I look for fake news because he showed us how to do it. He gave us a game plan and showed us exactly how to stand up and fight back. Republicans have to fight back," Lake said.

Before Trump's speech, Masters opened his speech by talking about Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly. "You ask this guy [Kelly] a question about border security or inflation, and he says, 'good question.' And I said, 'Mark, do your job! 'Mark Kelly is completely out,'" Masters said.
He claimed that Kelly was "disconnected" from reality. "Whatever an astronaut does today, special space research, I don't know. I'm sure Mark Kelly is very good at it. We're sending him back into space, he can handle it all,” Masters said to applause and cheers from the crowd. "Because as a senator, he's a total disaster."
The champions then called for a wall to be built, election fraud to be stopped, and big tech companies to be brought down. "Arizona, nominate me so we can put America first and finish the job President Trump started!" he said.
Lake followed Masters onto the stage to begin her speech about mothers supporting the MAGA movement. "They came for us moms. And the impact? What happened led us directly to the MAGA movement, where they care about our families and our children," she said. Lake then praised the crowd of young people who support the Republican Party. "We're seeing the biggest turnout of young conservatives movement this country has ever seen. Because these young people are going through hell with this COVID nightmare and they know who is to blame," he said.
The Proxy Fight Between Trump And Pence Continues With Arizona Rallies
One of the biggest draws from the crowd at the rally was Lake's speech about open borders and drugs in Arizona. "So we have a wide open border. We have a weak governor who does nothing. I call him Do Nothing Ducey," Lake said. He explained how he fights drugs coming into the state by sending troops to the border. "And then we blow up the drug tunnels. I don't care if there's a drug terrorist if we do it,” he said as the crowd applauded.
A few hours before the start of the action, the parking lot was full of people. There were a lot of Trump flags, hats, t-shirts and other apparel related to the Make America Great Again slogan. Some traveled from other states such as California and Nevada to see Trump in person. Many in attendance focused on the proximity of the 45th President of the United States. "He's pro-American. He's pro-securing our borders, he's pro-Second Amendment. He's pro-everything I'm for," said Wanda Dennis of Prescott.
Thousands flocked to Prescott Valley to see former President Donald Trump talk about Lake Curry, Blake Masters and more.
Support for Trump was almost unanimous at the rally. But it wasn't for all candidates. "I'm a little dubious about Curry Lake, I don't know yet. I'm not really sold on it. A lot of his assertions, I don't necessarily agree with everything," said Pamela Audis of Polden, Arizona.
In Prescott, The Trump Faithful Shrug Off The Heat For A Rally
Some believe Trump will run for president again, and he hinted at it at a rally Friday night. "I ran twice and won twice, and I did much better the second time than the first time, getting millions more votes in 2020 than I did in 2016," Trump said. "Anytime we might have to do it again."
Others believe former Vice President Mike Pence will do the same. If Trump runs, protesters don't expect or want Pence to be his running mate again. "There are RINO (in name only) Republicans. I think they're really liberal. I don't call them Democrats or anything. They were bought off, and unfortunately I think Pence was bought off," Audis said.
Speaking of Pence, he was in Peoria on Friday holding a rally for his gubernatorial candidate, Karyn Taylor Robeson. Along with Gov. Doug Ducey, he said Robeson is the only true conservative in this primary fight. "He's a hardline conservative who's pro-life, pro-gun and pro-wall," he said. "He doesn't just come on the scene and make things up." Pence also campaigned for Robeson in Tucson.
