C100 Aircraft - The Lockheed L-100 Hercules is a civilian version of the C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft manufactured by the Lockheed Corporation. Its first flight took place in 1964. Longer versions of the L-100-20 and L-100-30 were developed. Production of the L-100 began in 1992 with 114 aircraft.
The upgraded version of the LM-100J made its first flight in Marietta, Georgia on May 25, 2017, and production was scheduled to begin in 2018-19.
C100 Aircraft
In 1959, Pan American World Airways ordered the delivery of 12 Lockheed GL-207 Super Hercules in 1962 and equipped with four 6,000 eshp Allison T56 turboprops.

Slick Airways was to receive 6 of these aircraft later in 1962. The Super Hercules was to be 23 feet 4 inches (7.11 m) longer than the C-130B; A version with Rolls-Royce Tynes of 6,445 eshp and a jet version with four Pratt & Whitney JT3D-11 turbofans were also under development. Both Pan American and Slick Airways (which had ordered six) canceled their orders and did not develop other variants of the earlier design studies.
The L-100 prototype (designated N1130E) flew for the first time on April 20, 1964 and completed a flight of 1 hour and 25 minutes. The type certificate was issued on 16 February 1965. Twenty-one production aircraft were built with the first delivery to Continental Air Services on 30 September 1965.
Slow sales led to the development of two new longer versions, the L-100-20 and L-100-30, both larger and more fuel efficient than the original model.
Deliveries were 114 aircraft, their production in 1992. Several L-100-20s were operated by Delta Air Lines between 1968 and 1973 on scheduled cargo flights.

An upgraded civilian version of the Lockheed Martin C-130J-30 Super Hercules was in development, but the program was suspended indefinitely in 2000 to focus on military development and production.
On February 3, 2014, Lockheed Martin officially restarted the LM-100J program and said it expected to sell 75 aircraft. Lockheed sees the new LM-100J as an ideal replacement for the existing civilian L-100 fleet.
The operator of the LM-100J flight will be Pallas Aviation, starting in 2019 two aircraft will operate from Fort Worth Alliance Airport in the United States.
In early March 2022, three LM-100J aircraft (tail numbers N96MG, N71KM and N67AU) were assigned to Pallas to begin flying a dozen flights between Ramstein AB and the second military air installation in Nowe Miasto nad Pilica, Poland; Boboch, Romania; Sljach, Slovakia; Lielvarde, Latvia and Aalborg, Denmark.

On February 5, 1996, Bombardier began talks with Fokker about acquiring the company's assets, but after evaluating the purchase of the aircraft, Bombardier announced on February 27 that negotiations had ended.

Bombardier appointed Gary Scott on March 8, 2004 to evaluate the creation of a new commercial aircraft program.
Bombardier launched a five-seat CSeries feasibility study at the Farnborough Airshow in July 2004 to develop the aircraft to replace the older DC-9/MD-80, Fokker 100, Boeing 737 Classic and BAe-146 from rival manufacturers with 20 to investigate % lower operating costs and 15% lower than aircraft produced at that time. The smaller version should carry 110 to 115 passengers and the larger 130 to 135 passengers at a distance of 3,200 nautical miles.
Bombardier's board of directors authorized commercialization of the CSeries on 15 March 2005 and sought firm commitments from potential customers, suppliers and government partners before the program began. The C110 was planned to weigh 60,420 kg (133,200 lb) and be 35.0 m (114.7 ft) long at MTOW, while the C130 was to be 38.2 m (125.3 ft) long and 66 kg (000 kg). 146,000 lbs) MTOW. On January 31, 2006, Bombardier announced that market conditions could not justify launching the program and that the company would reallocate CSeries project efforts, equipment and resources to regional jet and turboprop aircraft. A small team of employees was hired to develop the CSeries business plan and were tasked with bringing other risk-sharing partners into the program.
On 31 January 2007, Bombardier announced that work on the aircraft would continue and that an attempted return to service was planned for 2013.

In November 2007, Bombardier selected the Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan, now the PW1500G, already selected to power the Mitsubishi Regional Jet, as the exclusive 100 kN (23,000 lb) CSeries powerplant.
On February 22, 2008, Bombardier's board of directors authorized formal proposals to sell the CSeries to airline customers, including 20% better fuel economy and up to 15% higher operating costs in cash compared to similar aircraft at the time. Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and ILFC are interested in this.
On July 13, 2008, at a press conference on the eve of the Farnborough Air Show, Bombardier Aerospace officially launched the CSeries.
